I was walking down Market Street in SF a few weeks ago when I looked up and saw a street sign advertising the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at the de Young Museum. I put a note in my phone to ensure that I saw this exhibit before its end date. After looking at my schedule this past week, I decided to take an after work adventure to Friday Nights at the de Young.
The exhibit was AMAZING. Oscar de la Renta appreciated and embraced a variety of cultures which had a large influence on the pieces he created. I had the opportunity to view and experience his collections at the de Young and gain a deeper understanding of his iconic presence in the fashion industry. Experience the exhibit through a few of the photos* I took during my visit below:
I was so tired after work that day, but this mini adventure was definitely worth the 35 min Uber pool ride to the museum during rush hour traffic on a Friday evening (eek!)
If you live or visit the Bay Area, I highly suggest you visit the exhibit before its ending date of May 30. Thoughts or questions? Do you like this post? Let me know in the comments below!
