At Manhattanville Coffee in Brooklyn, I take a minute with Alex Ubokudom, actor, satirist, and the resident Michael Jackson Historian for all of Kings County. Alex received half of his tutelage on the mean middle-class streets of Southfield, MI where he had to memorize Tupac lyrics to impress his fellow Detroiters. His formal schooling came from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and The American Conservatory Theater – don’t get it twisted, the brother is classically trained. His ninja like comedic training came from the Upright Citizen Brigade and the Peoples Improv Theater where he has performed in various sketch productions including the sketch team Boogiemanja. He’s performed all over NYC from UCB to theaters such as Playwright’s Horizons and The Vineyard Theater. He is a proud first generation Nigerian-American, as his family is of the Annang tribe.
KIM IN A MINUTE IS A VIDEO SERIES WHERE I TAKE ONE MINUTE WITH YOUR FAVORITE CREATIVES, GAME CHANGERS, AND ENTREPRENEURS TO GET TO KNOW THEIR AUTHENTIC SELVES.
