Creating a Vision Board is a prime way to have a constant reminder of your upcoming goals for the entire year. Many tech companies have realized this and of course capitalized on this concept. Pinterest is a prime example. Headquartered in San Francisco, it was founded in 2010 to allow users to share information by “pinning” images, articles, sites, etc., to their personalized boards. Pinterest has become such a phenomenon that “it cross[ed] the 10 million unique visitor mark faster than any other standalone site in history.” (TechCruch). Pinterest has a marketing campaign called #PinYourYear, where they have employees, celebrities, and more creating boards for their ideas to try in 2015. Companies are also using Pinterest to market their products since the whole purpose of Pinterest is for users to share and organize their ideas by using visual organization. Pinterest over the past two years has partnered up with many brands to use their platform for advertising purposes. I am an avid user of Pinterest, so I joined the #PinYourYear movement to create my Vision Board 2015.
I encourage everyone to create a vision board whether you are using your own forum or Pinterest. Setting goals is an important step in making your vision a reality.
